What tests are available?
- Basic Health Screen: Diabetes, Vitamin D, Total Cholesterol, Thyroid levels.
- Full Health Screen + TPO Antibodies: Combines the above with thyroid antibodies, anaemia check.
- Advanced Thyroid Test: TSH, Free T3 (FT3), Free T4 (FT4), and TPO antibodies (for autoimmune thyroid disease)
- Anaemia Panel: Haemoglobin, Ferritin, Transferrin Saturation, Active B12, Folate.
- AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone): For assessment of ovarian reserve.
Monitor My Health is a not-for-profit, fee-paying diagnostic testing service run by the NHS laboratory at the Royal Devon that offers a safe, regulated way to check key health markers from the comfort of your home.
Tests are processed in our UKAS-accredited NHS laboratory, meaning you benefit from high standards of accuracy and interpretation. Profits from the service are reinvested into the NHS to support wider patient care.
Monitor My Health enables you to order NHS-lab home blood tests digitally, with results you can view on any device. It’s designed to promote disease prevention, wellness monitoring, and early insight into health changes.

How it works
You choose your test via the MMH website and place your order.
Home sample kit
The test kit is delivered to your home. It includes everything you need: lancets, sample tubes, instructions plus a prepaid return envelope.
Collect sample
Most tests use a finger-prick sample. Follow the instructions (and video-guide if available) to collect the sample. If blood volume is low or sample is damaged (haemolysed), you may need a replacement kit.
Return and processing
You return the sample in the provided pre-paid envelope. Once received, the lab processes the test. Typical turnaround is 24-48 hours after sample arrival.
Results viewable online
Your results appear in a secure dashboard: graphs, reference ranges, and commentary on whether you may wish to discuss the findings with your GP. You can download or print the report.

Prices vary by test. Examples:

You pay at time of order via the MMH website. Private patients can include test costs as part of their private patient billing package if needed.

Is Monitor my Health (MMH) run by the NHS?
Yes, you get an NHS-run regulated service (UKAS accredited). The service is not intended to replace GP consultation but to complement it by giving you timely insights.

What important things do I need to know?
- Always check with your private insurer if they will cover the cost of these tests, or whether you’ll need to pay upfront.
- Ensure you follow instructions carefully—especially for sampling—to avoid sample rejection or inaccurate results.
- Some tests (cholesterol & lipids) may require fasting for more accurate readings.
- Results will include reference ranges and advice on whether you should seek follow-up care.
