Biography

Mr Goldstraw is a consultant urological surgeon at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. He has completed a two-year fellowship in robotic prostate surgery in Brisbane, Australia and at University College London and now carries out robotic surgery at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

His specialist areas of interest include benign and malignant conditions of the prostate and in particular robotic surgery. He has experience of over 500 robotic radical prostatectomies and  has a particular interest in the prostate diagnostics pathway of men with a raised PSA.

Mr Goldstraw has completed 6 years of urology specialty training in London and is competent in all general urological conditions including the treatment of urinary stones.

Academically, he has published extensively and has completed an MD thesis with Imperial College in prostate cancer which was awarded the British Urological Foundation (BUF) Scholarship.
